The Good Life: Family

America's Founders saw the family as the first and most important foundation of civil society. They understood that strong families, churches, and communities are necessary to the cultivation of civic virtue, the formation of self-governing citizens, and the protection of our liberty. Today we see the foundations of the American family have come under assault. Can we reverse this trend, and in the process, cultivate a new understanding of “The Good Life” anchored in an appreciation of flourishing families, vibrant communities, and a culture of liberty, gratitude, and hope?

Breakout Sessions #2

Session 2A: Securing America at Home and Abroad

The world is a more dangerous place today. Rogue prosecutors have undermined law and order in our cities. We have lost control of our borders. Session 2B: Navigating the New Media Landscape

Traditional media outlets have seen a dramatic decline in their audience share as viewers have lost trust in politically-driven programming and soundbite takes on news and events of the day. Audiences are interested in breaking news and deep-dive conversations, investigative reporting, and thoughtful editorials. The new line-up of social media influencers, podcasts with wide reach, and subscription-based platforms is developing into a lively environment for conservatives—both commentators and customers. What's the best way to navigate the new media landscape?

Farewell Breakfast: The Good Life: Faith

With a heart for serving the poor, James Whitford and his wife launched their small faith-based outreach to the poor in downtown Joplin, Missouri in the summer of 2000.  They served many but saw little change in the lives of those they served.  Moving from perpetual crisis relief to long-term development shifted the focus to developing their clients’ capacity to give and create and challenged them to be a part of their own solution through relationship and accountability. The result has transformed lives.
